I have two machines with Informix Online 7.12 TC5 installed on NT: one is development, and one is 'live.' What I ended up having to do was go in to the registry and CREATE another SQLHOSTS entry. YOu will find these under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\INFORMIX\\SqlHosts. Just take whatever is listed ('ol_saper', for instance), and copy all of the values in to another key (e.g. 'ol_andy'). Then, just change the values to reflect the settings on each server. I did this on all the machines that need to see both servers (including the two servers). Its a hassle, but it works. The thing that doesn't work, is that some times I run SETNET32 as a particular user, and when I hit 'Ok' or 'Apply,' it says "Unable to write to registry." But, if I in and look, it DID write to the registry. Weird. Hope this helps!
