It looks like it now comes standard with Enterprise Edition, must be purchased as an addition feature for Workgroup Edition and is not available in Express Edition. Sorry if I'm being impatient, but I was *wondering* if/when we'll see any TPC-E benchmarking, that we've been hearing rumors about? The latest from IBM was a TPC-C using DB2 v 9.5 which was done by the hardware folks to thumb their noses at HP. Of course HP responds with their latest benchmark, however while the total numbers were lower, the cost per transaction was much lower. And they say that TPC-C is dead. So what is it going to be? And one has to ask... Will it be on a blade server, and if so, on the cell chip based blades? ;-) This would kind of kill two birds with one stone. We'll get to see the cell in action along with IDS numbers that should shock the rest of the world. But hey! What do I know? My client is just *now* switching to 10g, but are too cheap to pay for the ability to partition tables. Isn't that a built in feature of IDS?
