I've set the attributes as noentry, noupdate but = the=20 > cursor still goes there. what am I doing wrong? Hi Kate, I assume you mean that the cursor goes to these fields during a query. = The noentry and noupdate attributes make the cursor skip over the fields = during add and update operations respectively, but as far as I know there is no way to do this in query mode. If anyone does know of a way to do this, and can reply to this message without once referring to 4gl, come on down :-) INFORMIX: I know you've "given up" with isql development, but I get the feeling that a lot of people are still using PERFORM and ACE, and my colleagues and I are making them do some pretty nifty stuff. There's=20 probably loads of features we could request, but for starters, how's = about "noquery". > Thanks in advance, > Kate >=20 Richard. ----------------------------------------------------------------- =20 | _ =AF\\ | Richard Thomas | | \\ 0_ | r.thomas@csl.gov.uk | | \\ / | | | oo/ | "20 Regal and a four-pack, | | / \\ | I guess I'm set for the night" | | \\_/ | - "TV Tan" The Wildhearts | -----------------------------------------------------------------
