What I would like to know is exactly what perms have to be setup in the
filesystem in order to make any of the stuff work. I have read the release
notes and the user guide and the relevant sections in the reference manuals
and am still unclear as to the nature of *UNIX* permissions that are required
to run their software. As you may guess even after people have sent me
suggestions for which I am grateful I have still not had luck in making the
permission problem go away. I am now even more confused than before since
dbschema seems to report correct "user" permissions on the relevant tables but
when a user starts up the application as them selves all querries return
empty. weird...
Can anyone at informix supply a defacto description of constraints that must
be in place in order for the software to function as advertised?

P.S> The following seems to be a bug if you compile with -a option of c4gl...
function foo()
define tmp array[10,5] of integer
define i integer
for i = 1 to 10
initialize tmp[i,1] to null
let tmp[i,2] = 1
let tmp[i,3] = 2
...
end for
end function
The array bounds checks that are generated for the initialize statement
are incorrect for the first index, they use a limit of 5 instead of 10.
Solution if you initialize multi-dimmensional arrays don't enable array
bounds checking.
