If you have a client that tries to connect to your server it previously would not log anything in the online.log (but it would get a -761 error), but with this particular defect fix in place you will start to see these 27003 errors in log file. I believe it is basically a mismatch between DBSERVERNAME/DBSERVERALIAS from the onconfig file and the server name column in an sqlhosts file, for example: serv1 onsoctcp machine1 port1 sevr1 onsoctcp machine1 port1 Then lets say your DBSERVERNAME is actually serv1 and you don't have sevr1 defined as DBSERVERALIAS. If a client were to try and connect using the servername sevr1, you will see the 27003 error in the log. So you probably have some client connections failing with a 761 error (hmm, clients might now be getting 27001 errors instead of 761 errors), but now those failures are also showing up in your online.log as 27003 errors. Another defect was added to get these 27003 errors out of the online.log and just have them reported as client error messages (error -761) as was previously happening. Jacques
