This script violates the established operating procedures for Informix Online V7.x servers., and makes no sense at all. LOGS exist for a reason, and must be backed up on to separate tapes between level 0 archives. If you do not want logical log backups, then you should ask your self weither you need databases with logging at all. If your databases do not require logging (unusual), then they will not write to the logical logs NOEL GRIFFIN Informix Technical Training Centre
