resolved: help on help

Back at work everyone? If you are curious about how my help problem (the text "You have reached the end of this help text..." lingered forever in row 24) was resolved, then read on... I sent Tech Support a little .4gl to demonstrate that the "bug" occurred when there is an open window and the window's border was above row 24. The response was that this is not really a bug because the very nature of a window is to allow "transparency". However, he agreed that it IS irksome behavior and that he would submit a feature request to have the canned help routine clear row 24 on the next key press no matter what. There are plenty of work-arounds: don't use a window, don't use a border, issue a ctrl-r....I chose to lengthen the window so it's border landed in row 24. Now, the border sometimes disappears; it's fun trying to have the last word!
