System catalogue tables

Hi, I'm going to post this question and go home, 'cos it's Friday night and I'm out on the town :-) I get pretty cheesed off trying to get data out of the system catalogue, trying to decipher the various joins, get the column names right etc. If I had time I'd sit down with the manual and a terminal in a darkened room and learn the structure back to front, but unfortunately my boss doesn't think that's a good use of resources (computer-type stuff is only a part of my job). SO, my question is, does anyone have PERFORM screens that access all or part of the sys. cat. If so, I'd love to hear from you.
