Ummm... Search in recent posts to this forum. In fact reading one of these posts I print a document on that: Generating XML from IDS 9.x It's a DeveloperWorks document but I lost the url... Anyway you do something like: SELECT genxml( "customer", customer) FROM customer ; And the output is well an XML output. Beyond that I can't help any much. Where can I find more info about 'the XML datablade'? I know the WEB datablade, which can generate XML (http://www.ibm.com/informix/blades/web). I know the XSLT datablade, which can transform XML (http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/xsltblade). I know the SOM datablade, which can index XML (http://www.speedofmind.com). But I never heard about the XML datablade. Regards Claus Jean Sagi jeansagi@myrealbox.com jeansagi@yahoo.com sending to informix-list
