Migrate from IDS/XPS 32 bit --> IDS/XPS 64 bit)

Hi, I need some information about to migration way from : IDS 9.30 32 bit to IDS 9.40 64 bit and XPS 8.40 32 bit to XPS 8.40 64 bit Do we need to unload data, move the server, recreate the server (64 bit) and reload the data or is it possible just to install the 64 bit version, stop the server, switch environmentet to the 64 bit version and then restart the server.
