PB 5.03 -> Informix 7.23

I'm developing in PB 5.02 on NT with Informix 7.23 and I'm having trouble connecting to any server unless it is made the "default" server in setnet32. I'm using an IN7 (not ODBC) connection. I'm setting everything **but** DBPARM in the SQLCA and custom system_TransObj transaction. I'm guessing that the problem may be with DBPARM, but am not sure. Anybody solved this?
