Terminal problems with UNIX RT.

Hello all, It's the first time I'll experiment the exportation from DEC notes files I hope it will work. I am porting to UNIX a software developed on DOS RDS-4GL. I have having some installation troubles with a run time version of I-4GL, interpreted not compiled version, on a UNIX SCO 3.2.2 system. Although everything functionnaly is ok, I have some problems with terminal configurations. I am using a wy120 with a PC-type keyboard and every Function Key seems to be shifted 1 position to the left. (I must press F7 when the program expects F8) I have seen a termcap file in one informix directory, but no wy120 in it. I am not scared at all by a terminfo or termcap file but even if I change them, and re-tic the terminfo the program does not seem to be sensitive to the new definitions. (I have tried with both /usr/lib/terminfo or my own directory pointed to by the TERMINFO variable) Is there any environment variable Informix uses ? There is no mention of any in the installation sheets (I hardly can say "guide") of the Run Time. By the way, people who like me have chosen to develop on DOS and port to UNIX are faced to an unexpected problem: DOS version supports up to 1.2 Mb .4gi modules, while UNIX RT supports a smaller size (around 700K) otherwise a lot of "undefined" are found at run-time. Furthermore, the DOS version is very unreliable due to DOS/16M problems that prevents the use of the interactive debugger very soon in the project cycle when the modules size grow. All this makes this development strategy, although cheaper, a real acrobatic performance ! As discussed elsewhere in this group, the support group (at least here) was very unefficient in solving or even reporting any of these problems. All I know about Informix, I had to learn it the hard way ! The 4GL-RDS product costs around $3000 in France, and we could expect a better support for such a price ! Regards, Jean-Pierre.
