Check the release notes, sometimes setting SHMVIRTSIZE=0 is bad (OK a bug). Seems
to effect NCR boxes mostly.

SHMVIRTSIZE??? SHMTOTAL surely??
Only on NCR is it a problem. Set SHMTOTAL=750000 since anything higher
can cause OS problems (kernel panics?? can't remember).
Also you have ulimit -f 3000 + do a lot of other ulimits to disable/
increase kernel limits. We've hit that one...
