dbexport using INET and ISTAR?

Is there a problem with dbexport over the network? I ran dbexport of about a 100 MB database on my client machine running INET and connecting to the server running ISTAR. It ran for a little while, then the sqlturbo on the server died. No errors on the client side. Any ideas what to look for? No one else was using the database at the time. Details: both machines HP9000/S755 with HP-UX 9.03 and Online 5.01.
