Hi everyone, I am new to programming and Informix. What will be most helpful? Where do I go to see how each table affect each other? Should I do a sql? Trainee, John

Welcome to the Informix community. Start by reading the Guide to SQL
Tutorial then the Guide to SQL Reference and keep the Guide to SQL Syntax
manual handy for referencing. Do the same with the front-end tools
(ESQL/C, 4GL, CLI, D4GL, JDBC, etc) manuals.
What do you mean by "how each table affects each other"? If you want to
see if a particular query is efficient or if your database design could be
improved, try running the query with SET EXPLAIN ON; set in dbaccess and
look at the optimizer's query plan in the file sqexplain.out in your
current directory.
