Try making your buffers dynamic by changing the following kernel parameters:
nbuf=0
bufpages=0
dbc_max_pct=70
dbc_min_pct=5
maxdsiz=117440512
Run some performance tools and determine if your System Tables are set too
high. If they are, reduce them to (2X current usage). For example:
NPROC is set to 200
sar -v shows that only 31 is in use reduce nproc to 62. Some of the
informix recommendations were too high and a waste of resources.
Semaphores are usually set too high by informix recommendations. Apply the
apply the same methodology used in the System Tables.
Try using dynamic VP if you are doing shared memory this would free up CPU's
if they are not needed and increase if needed. You must create a cron job
that runs onmode -F every half hour to free up the VP and the shared memory.
Good Luck.
