Bonnie, you're not alone! I, too have support agreements. I have asked over the years for various math functions, only to get the std answer (RTFM). Lately, through this newsgroup, I find an exp function, but it's broken and according to Jonathan, not likely to be fixed. You now tell us there's an undocumented SQRT function in both isql and 4GL. I've wanted this for *years* to calculate standard deviations! I even once wrote my own. Arrrgh! Please, tell me how to call the SQRT function. And to Informix: what OTHER math functions are lurking undocumented that your fee-paying customers just might like to know about? Peter Wiley
