Did you check with Informix? I'm not sure the 10.10 ports are certified to work with 10.20. The fact that you haven't had this problem for three years, until upgrading your HP-UX version, makes me very suspicious. As I said, I think the "erroneous event" was an HP sockets problem, not an Informix bug; just the looping error message was an Informix bug.
