Hi Philipp,
vim on Linux will also indirectly show you this!
If you open a file from a PC, where line end is not converted
vim shows in status line (last line on screen)
[dos] mode.
You can convert this using
:set filemode=unix
Then vim will do the same conversion like your
sed script did.
