ODBC problem

Dear all, i have a problem with informix odbc driver is anybody can help my configuration is as follow i have a unix server with informix online v 7.X, i configured the informix with sqlexecd to establish a link with the client. in the client side, i have a cli-informix,web site internet server s/w and script written by visual basic to communicate to the server over informix odbc driver(installed when i installed the cli-informix). all working fine and i can communicate with the server and get the information i asked for through html page. so where is the problem? the problem when i repaced the server with other server has the same version of informix and after i reconfigured the client to use the new server, the problems started, i got an error messages says " no blank line found" on the client when trying to access the informix server through the script (virual basic) as i was doing befor. very strange message. the only difference between the two informix server is the first one got informix online + sql (isql) but the second one (which not working and give the stupid message) got only informix online.my question is informix odbc uses isql utility in the server side or dbaccess is enough ? is any body can help please asap. thanks regard ossama
