Hmmm...there really is no preset server evaluation method out there yet. You'll know when your server has performance problems! Things you want to look into at a high level to benchmark an Online server are - CPU utilization, I/O metrics, Memory utilization, network metrics, etc. On a per query basis, you could get more drill down details like response time, query paths, etc. In any case, this is an involved process and takes time.
