Re: Error 25506

I had this problem recently and wasted a lot of time on it. Are you getting a response from ilogin? or just looking at the log file on the server for the 25560 error. If you are not getting a response from ilogin then I would think that your name and IP are not in the server's host file. Also, when tryling ilogin put the literal number for sqlexec (1525) or whatever for the service. I feel this SDK is pretty bad. The Informix 2.80 driver is pretty dodgy connecting to Informix 5. Informix have had the same problem trying to connect with this driver to Informix5. Even when one manages to get it working, it doesn't really - 2.80 driver crashes VB apps (or ADO don't know which) and Intersolv 3.10 can't read a unique index on Informix 5 db's at least, hence no updates possible cept with passthroughs) However, beyond these measures I would suggest downloading Intersolv's 3.11 driver (or some other one perhaps, Openlink?) and use that instead. Save yourself some time, I wish I had. Mail me if this doesn't sort it out.
