Head over to http://www.iiug.org and http://www.informix.com -- there are many useful tools, freely downloadable manuals and an excellent FAQ. Informix's manuals are, IMHO, superb and an excellent place to start. On the IIUG website you will find a list of superb texts to acquire from amazon.com or wherever. A good beginners book would probably be the Informix Unleashed Special Edition, although there are others. If you're going to be doing any DBA work, you must get Joe Lumbley's DBA Survival Guide. :-) Yes, you can easily ODBC link Access to Informix. Another useful site would be to search DejaNews for ODBC posts on comp.databases.informix. And, of course, you can ask questions here.
