Informix and Perl

Hi all. I'm considering using Perl as a replacement for some Unix-based data cleansing scripts. We currently use ksh & SQL with some stored procedures thrown in for good measure. I was thinking Perl would be a more elegant approach. (Is Mr. Leffler listening?) I'd welcome any feedback/tips/samples/etc. Here's the proposed environment: XPO 8.21.UC1 Solaris 2.5.1 CLI 2.80.UC1 Solaris 2.5.1 MetaCube 4.02.b2 I've also downloaded the following from the Perl CPAN: Perl 5.004 DBD-Informix 0.58 DBI 0.93 I don't believe DBD supports Informix XPO. I was wondering whether I should consider using Perl --> ? --> CLI. Regards, Bob Colombo
