Hi Tim. Limited imaginations can only result in limitations in life. Think of all those who because of growth and mergers would want to unify their data bases. Think of those who wish to manage larger databases. Think of those third party application providers who have used 4GL to writer their programs, and to have their application run on Oracle would mean a larger market share. Think of those who would find their many man's years work can be working against an Oracle engine within a few days. I let you think of more cases by yourself. By the way OUR INFORMIX VERSION of QueriX 4GL Compiler is much faster than Informix's in both COMPILATION and EXECUTION. It also produces smaller Binaries. Think that TIME IS MONEY if nothing else. >ali@querix.co.uk wrote: >> >> For those who had allways wished they could migrate their 4gl applications >> to Oracle. >> >> >And now, it's my turn for a slam post... > >Converting 4GL applications to Oracle would be pretty stupid.
