Migration to 7.12

To all, We are about to migrate to Informix 7.12 from Informix 5.03 on a DG/UX platform. Our client apps were written in C++ and Powerbuilder, server apps consist of some Ada and Unix shell scripts, and reports were developed using Crystal Reports and Business Objects. We have 8 internal servers supporting development, test, and production environments and we deploy servers to various external sites (future > 100). We developed a migration plan and divided the effort into distinct phases to minimized disruption to ongoing development/deployment efforts and to minimize overall system impact. Our first phase, Impact Analysis, is the crux of the entire migration effort. The primary goal is to analyze the impact the migration will have on apps, system resources, connectivity, etc. We plan to perform benchmark testing before and after the initial migration (impact analysis) to quantify impact and monitor performance. Insights from anyone who has performed this migration would be appreciated. Specific info on benchmark testing (what utilities would be useful(Unix vs Informix), type of statistics to gather from a v5 and v7 perspective) would be great. Thanks in Advance!
