migrate RHEL 3 to RHEL 4 error

ids9.40uc3 RHEL 3 try to upgrade linux to RHEL 4 set INFORMIXSERVER to shared memory connectafter run 'oninit -ivy' It won't create all the system database and display error message : 25588: The appl process cannot connect to OnLine server If I set INFORMIXSERVER to tcp connect , everything will be fine. Anyone had this experience ? Any solution ?
