Problems with GLS

I use INFORMIX Online 7.22 on SCO UNIX. I need to store in a table data containing Polish national letters in several different standards. If I create a database using one GLS standard I cannot insert rows containing characters > 128 not included in this standard because I receive a message 202 - invalid character. Is there any chance to override this?. Previous version 5.0 didn't control this and it was OK for me. Thanks in advance Tomasz Lach doctorQ Cracow Poland
