You don't say which version of OnLine you're using. In v7.13 there's a
bug which marks chunks allocated to temporary dbspaces down after a cold
restore. You therefore see a message saying "Bad Primary Chunk
/dev/rdsk/informix_1", followed by "Warning: Invalid dbspace 'tmpdbs1'
listed in DBSPACETEMP."
An onstat -d indeed shows the dbspace to be down.
