Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Laurent Lafeuille asked how to add a blob column in a named blobspace with ALTER TABLE. Art S. Kagel and Jonathan Leffler answered with ALTER TABLE ... ADD (col BYTE IN blobspace). Laurent replied that he actually needed a CLOB/BLOB column in a smartblobspace, not a blobspace. No answer for that was given in the thread.

I'm trying to add a blob column in a blobspace called clientspsb3, but don't
find the synthax.
Must be something like this :
alter table t_age add ( img_nav1 blob ) put img_nav in ( clientsbsp3 );
Thanks you

Look in the Guide to SQL Syntax or SQL Quick Syntax Guide both online at
the Informix WEB Site for download or browsing.

You simply specify the new type as you would in CREATE TABLE, hence:
ALTER TABLE t_age ADD (img_nav1 byte in clientsbsp3);

Thank you for your answer, but my question was badly explained.
In fact, I must add a column in a smartblobspace ( for CLOB and BLOB ), not
in blobspace ( for byte )
