Hi All,
I am trying to clone our Production database to QAS.
Both machines are running AIX 5.3 and Informix 9.40FC5.
In the onbar actlog I am getting the follwing errors
2008-04-10 10:02:25 331900 262262 /informix/QAS/bin/onbar_d -r -t
2008-03-31 23:00:00
2008-04-10 10:02:25 331900 262262 BAR_XFER_BUF_SIZE exceeded
maximum allowed limit. Changing buffer size to 61440.
2008-04-10 10:02:25 331900 262262 Error parsing bootfile /informix/
QAS/etc/ixbar.1.
2008-04-10 10:02:25 331900 262262 Error parsing bootfile /informix/
QAS/etc/ixbar.1.
2008-04-10 10:02:26 331900 262262 There are no storage spaces/
logical logs to backup/restore.
2008-04-10 10:02:31 331900 262262 Due to the previous error, logical
restore will not be attempted.
2008-04-10 10:02:31 331900 262262 /informix/QAS/bin/onbar_d
complete, returning 147 (0x93)
I've ensured there are the same amount of chunks, copied the onconfig
etc.
IBM are saying it is very likely to be a GLS or time setting.
Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated
Thanks
Darren
Hi, After some great help this morning, I have changed the servernum to 0 so it is the same as the production box. The restore now gets further but I get this error message 2008-04-11 10:16:07 487626 213022 Completed salvage of logical log 333350. 2008-04-11 10:16:07 487626 213022 Error parsing bootfile /informix/ QAS/etc/ixbar.0. 2008-04-11 10:16:16 487626 213022 Successfully connected to Storage Manager. 2008-04-11 10:16:16 487626 213022 XBSA Error (BSAGetObject): An unspecified XBSA error has occured: 96 2008-04-11 10:16:16 487626 213022 Object information: bar_objdesc obj_id 0 obj_name 'rootdbs' obj_type 'R' act_id 0 act_type 3 act_status 0 act_start '2008-04-11 10:16:16' act_end '2008-03-31 22:00:40' ins_time 0 rsam_time 0 level 0 copyid hi:lo 0:1669283 req_act_id 27910 logstream 0 est_pages hi:lo 0:0 first_log 0 chpt_log 0 last_log 0 partial_flag 0 do_query 0 ins_sm_id 0 ins_sm_name '' ins_verify 0 ins_verify_date '' restore order 0:0 objInfo '' retry 0 in_catalog 0 in_bootfile 0 child_pid 0 child_state 0 bkup_host '' 2008-04-11 10:16:16 487626 213022 Due to the previous error, logical restore will not be attempted. 2008-04-11 10:16:16 487626 213022 /informix/QAS/bin/onbar_d complete, returning 96 (0x60) Thanks Darren
Havn't got the error messages; however this sounds like something goes wrong in the storage mgr. Did you restored the catalog for the storage mgr or maybe you have to set some env vars so the backed up data can be retrieved??? what does the log files of your storage mgr say.?? The log files of storage manager just say session initialised and then terminated Thanks a lot Darren
