CURRENT time function inside SPL procedure
Posted in 2008
I did one of my first SPL procedures today with IDS 10.00.UC1 running on a SuSE Box. For timing reasons, I tried to get rough start and stop times between the different Update and Select routines, writing the times out to a logtable. Therefore I declared two Variables Starttime and Stoptime, both as DATETIME YEAR TO SECOND. The Code is like this: Start Loop LET Starttime=CURRENT YEAR TO SECOND > One or several SQL Statements, running at least 2 seconds LET Stoptime=CURRENT YEAR TO SECOND Insert Starttime,Stoptime into logtable End Loop so far, so good, no errors and valid values, but: the values stored in Startime and Stoptime are the same, no mater how long the SQL Statement is running (and some are running up to five minutes). Digging deeper, the time stored is the time when the SPL procedure was started. Is this normal behaviour or am I missing something? A workaround for me would be calling another SPL function getting the "correct" time for me... regards, Joerg Volz IT Handel und Beratung Jörg Volz Bernhard-Früh-Str. 7 77855 Achern GERMANY Tel: 07841-681651 Fax: 07841-681654 Mobil: 0170-2989757 Ust-ID: DE201383541 http://www.it-volz.de
