Informix v5/6

Hi ... does anybody know whether it is possible to configure a client to simultaneously support both Informix v5.0+ and Informix v6.0? To put it another way, is it possible to run a v5.0+ application accessing a v5.0 server, concurrently with a v6.0 application accessing a v6.0 server?
