Unless they've switched to newer equipment, you can find machines that have a programmed control on punch tape. I don't believe its paper, but it could be plastic/metal/etc ... But Daniel is just pushing things to an extreme. BTW, I do advocate 3x5 cards for certain applications. Lets face it. Sometime pad and paper or 3x5 cards makes a lot of sense because of costs.
