Dear Friends, Your answer on this problem would be very important for me to perform a Level 0 backup. Any answer would be of great assistance. For past couple of weeks our IDS 7.31.UC6 database running on HPUX-10.20 has been CRASHING every time with a Assert Failure whenever I try to perform a Level-0 backup. The backup is performed using ONBAR with LEGATO as a storage manager. I would greatly appreciate if you can provide an answer on : 1. How to perform a Level 0 backup without crashing the IDS 7.31.UC6 database. 2. Is there a patch available to overcome this problem. 3. Let me know of any kind of workaround/solution that would resolve the above backup problem. Sincerely, Neil _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
On Reliant Unix (FSC Hardware) Level 1 and 2 did not work in this version. Informix provided a patch after my fault report, IDS 7.31.UC6X6. Maybe there exists a patch for the HP version also, since the problem seems to be similar.
