The shell handles all the menu numbering and user interface. You can use Informix isql user menus, but, and this is a "pet peeve", they cost ADDITIONAL USER LICENSES TO RUN if you invoke isql again from within the menu. The menu program is very simple, and works very well. It can be found in: "sed & awk" Dale Dougherty Nov 1992 printing O'Reilly & Associates, Inc Chapter 10, The Bottom Drawer "A Menu-based Command Generator" invoke program pge 246 This may also be available in compressed form (bundled with many other scripts) via anon ftp from uunet: ftp.uu.net cd /published/oreilly/nutshell/sedawk progs.tar.Z <-- a binary file This information was in the preface, page XX have fun, __________________________________________________________________ | Clem Akins Standard Disclaimers Apply | |Reynolds Metals Co, Alloys Plant "Climb High, Cave Deep!" | | Muscle Shoals, Alabama USA cwakins@leia.alloys.rmc.com | |________________________________________________________________|
