Re: Dynamic-4gl runner
Posted in 1998
We're using the default cc compiler on SCO. We're having no problems
compiling with classic 4GL.
I set FGLDBS and ran findlib.sh. It produces:
Identifying your operating system................. SCO-O.S
Extracting test files............................. Ok
Searching C compiler.............................. found "cc"
Verify ANSI C compatibility....................... Ok
Informix directory found ?........................ Ok
Informix 'esql' found ?........................... No
Informix 'c4gl' found ?........................... Ok
Search Informix libraries type.................... static
Search Informix link line......................... Ok
Search libraries in link line..................... Ok
Try nr 1 to link the runner....................... Ok
Try a 4GL program with only SQL statements........ Ok
Try nr 1 to reduce system libraries............... No
Try nr 2 to reduce system libraries............... No
Try nr 3 to reduce system libraries............... Ok
Creation of file 'envf4gl......................... Ok
Creation of file 'envf4gl.csh..................... Ok
Searching libraries for the runner was successful.
Environment file 'envf4gl' or 'envf4gl.csh' sets variables.
The 'envf4gl' has this setting for FGLLIBSQL:
#------- Informix SQL libraries
FGLLIBSQL="-lfesql \\
-los \\
-lasf \\
$INFORMIXDIR/lib/tools/libasf.a \\
-los \\
-lasf \\
-lixgen \\
$INFORMIXDIR/lib/tools/libgls.a \\
$INFORMIXDIR/lib/tools/libglx.a"
export FGLLIBSQL
I tried taking out the -lfesql but then it didn't like -los.
I have compiled to p-code successfully my 4gl source code.
I just can't compile a runner. I assume that a runner has
to be built (there isn't a default one).
Thanks for your help.
