Re: Onbar and large databases

To quote Joan Rivers, "Can we talk?" We also have a 150 gig database on HP 9000/T500, HP-UX 10.20, ODS 7.23.UC2, that we are planning on backing up with Alexandria. We have tested this, and when the full system Level 0 does work (read: when it doesn't run out of disk space), it takes forever. We have determined, however, that the speed (or lack of) is because of our hardware configuration (150 gig hung on 1 HP-PB bus), more so than the software. We were able to back up by dbspace, but that won't do much for us unless we can get a full system baseline. Are you sure about having to restore the whole database if one disk fails? I certainly thought you would be able to restore one dbspace - that's why we were doing it that way... Jeffrey E.
