Electronic Document Fulfillment ------------------------------- We are in the process of starting an electronic document production and fulfillment operation in Seattle to service large corporate customers, with a major emphasis on full color sales and marketing collateral pieces, but extending into business forms as well. This business will provide the following services: - Complete design, electronic + traditional print production and direct mail/document fulfillment services. - A fully supported 18-24 month transition from our prospective customer's existing physical storage and use of long print production runs of documents toward a complete use of electronic on-demand printing (I am a corporate turnaround / startup specialist with extensive experience in color printing on the Indigo EPrint 1000 and electronic publishing system integration.) - A full computer link with customer's systems providing a modern, up-to-date approach toward ordering documents for all uses. At the customer's site, our approach will incorporate a flexible 4GL database and should integrate with the current trend toward Intranets, electronic forms management and Adobe Acrobat-based documents while integrating into a standard back-end for production, inventory management and fulfillment at our facilities. The company I am forming will involve a partnership between a design/print production company, a document fulfillment house and a software programming company; each with partial ownership; each providing a substantial part of the services that will be offered to major corporations here in Seattle. I am looking for a Seattle based group of programmers, who are interested in working with us to set up a leading edge business for electronic document production and handling. This group of programmers should have experience in: - A major 4GL language (Oracle, Ingres, Informix, etc.) - Some of the new document database Intranet packages coming on the market. - A good electronic forms/workflow package. - A good general inventory/warehousing package, if possible written in a 4GL language. This group will work with us to design the system and then will be responsible for integrating the system at each customer's site, as well as for continuous maintenance and improvements of the package once it is installed. The group would be offered ownership in the company that is being formed and would benefit from a revenue stream of an initial set-up fee and monthly service fees charged to each corporate customer, participation in the company's profits, and the potential for additional programming services that can be offered to the same clients as an extension of our basic package. The package and range of services, once it has been installed and works at a number of Seattle customers, will also be used to set-up similar operations in other major population centers around the country.
