sysptprof seq scan info
Posted in 2005
Upgraded from 9.40.FC2 to 9.40.FC4W1 on AIX 5.2
No changes to ONCONFIG (or anything else for that matter).
When I run this query against sysmaster:
select tabname,seqscans from sysptprof
wheredbsname='db1' and
tabname in ('table1','table2','table3')
I get these results:
tabname table1
seqscans 2031616
tabname table2
seqscans 60293120
tabname table3
seqscans 89128960
These numbers are not correct because 'onstat -p' shows this:

It almost looks like sysptprof is reporting the number of pages
scanned rather than the number of times a table was scanned.
This query ran fine in FC2. I usually picked up a few scans on each
table throughout the day.
Any ideas on this one? I searched CDI and IBM Support without any
luck.
Thanks!
