Could not connect to Informix server

Hi ,
I have installed Informix client on my Linux machine (CentOS 5.0)
If I try to connect to Informix server then the following error pops up
dbaccess: relocation error: dbaccess: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not
defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
Reading the other threads I set the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL variable to 2.4.21
Now the dbaccess gives and error
$ dbaccessdbaccess: error while loading shared libraries: libm.so.6: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
Also after setting the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL my linux commands fail to work , e.g.
ls
$ lsls: error while loading shared libraries: librt.so.1: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
Looks like the informix client and libs were compiled with some older glibc
libraries (which had the GLIBC_2.0 symbol which is not present in the latest
libc libraries). Hence I am seeing the problem.
Any idea about how to solve this ?? Your help is greatly appreciated. I have
been looking at this for 2 days now.
Thanks,
Sachin
VERSION INFORMATION! Looks like you loaded up a very old release of the
client software. Please post the actual Linux kernel version, the IDS
version, and the CSDK or iConnect version information and we'll try to help
you.

Linux Kernel Version : 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5 (RedHat 4.1.2-14) IDS version : 7.31.UD7 CSDK version : 2.81.UC2X5 Thanks in advance
The CSDK is the problem, 2.81 dates back to 2004 or 2005 and was compiled for an earlier Linux kernel with GCC 2.x. The 2.6 kernel comes with GCC 4.0. You can download later CSDK releases from the IBM Informix trial pages (www.informix.com then select trials) you need at least 2.90 if its still available, the current release IB is 3.50 and there should be a 3.00 version as well. Certainly the 3.00 and 3.50 releases will be compatible. Will try this and keep you posted. Thanks,
