I-Net is network connectivity client for Informix, so You do not need this for stand-alone.But You need local SE. >I'm don't want to improve the user interface, I just want to be able to >compiler and run a DOS SHELL - sounds like I'm stuffed though. > >Gerard. DOS shell? No way! But if you are on 3.11, there is no problem with SE 4.1 and 4GL for Windows 4.x. It function under GUI, but is not a true GUI, and looks terrible by GUI standards, but it works. I have also heard about some (French, I think) 4GL compiler, called 4JS. They claim that it can compile Informix 4GL code without modification, and run it under windows. They have www page, but with very poor info, and there is no demo to dl, so I did not test it.
