Full Chunk: No Alarm???

I've set up an alarm program in ONCONFIG, "alarm.sh". I'm really surprised that if a chunk runs out of space, no alarms are triggered, and no entries appear in the online.log file. On the other hand I have to filter out the many severity level 2 messages, such as a logical log being filled, cuz they're annoying. Now let me get this straight: Online triggers an alarm when a log gets filled up, but does nothing - NADA - when a chunks maxes out??? Is it just me or does anybody else think there's something backwards with the priorities here?
