Hi all.
I was told by our DBA that onstat has different exit codes depending on
the engine's mode (or mood).
So, if I test $result (in C shell) or $? (Bourne / Korn shell), I should
get a numeric value.
My tests show 1=Quiescent, 5=On-Line.
Does anyone know what these values are ? And yes, I tried to RTFM.
Thanks in advance,
Bogdan Neagu

The exit values are either in the Informix Administrator's guide, or
the FAQ for the iiug user group. I've seen it recently. Your tests are
correct. I haven't got the book in front of me but they range from 1 to
5 to show states like quiescent, recovering, online, etc etc
