DBA tools

HPUX 10.01 Informix 7.23.UC4 I'm hoping to start testing some DBA tools, possibly maybe even implement them. <G> Here would be some basic ('quickly-thought-out') requirements: 1. Performance monitoring. 2. Basic maintenance. 3. Remote access. Any ideas? I've heard many things about Platinum. I've also heard that these types of tools can be resource hogs as well. Of course, 'home-grown' types of monitoring (ie. ALARMPROGRAM) might be an alternative as well. Right now I have a hodgepodge of scripts and 4ge programs running as necessary. It would be good to either consolidate them into a unified force or purchase a package to give me the same functionality. I'm still looking for ideas. I've perused the archives and haven't found too much, so it may be that the third-party products may not be mature enough to handle what an experienced Informix DBA would expect.
