Note from IIUG Board Meeting
Posted in 1998
All, The IIUG Board of Directors has just held its winter board meeting, and I am pleased to report that it was very successful. We will post a summary of the meeting to this group as soon as it becomes available, but there is one important piece of information I wanted to let you know about immediately. Fred Hubbard was elected by the board to serve as President of the IIUG for the 1998/1999 term. This term normally runs from July to July, but Fred is going to be assuming the duties of the Presidency immediately since I am expecting twins and my activities are being severely curtailed. I would like to welcome Fred into his new role. I am certain Fred will do an excellent job and am very grateful that such a fine person is willing to step into this position. Carlton Doe will continue to be the Chairman of the Advocacy Program and will also remain in the role of Past President since I will not be remaining on the board after July. The two working together will be quite a powerful combination! Thank you for having me as your president since July. I look forward to watching the IIUG as it continues to thrive.
