dbaccess syntax

Hi, I would like to connect using dbaccess tool to a database in another machine. Does anybody know whether it is possible? Something like this: dbaccess {-e} $MACHINE:$DATABASE Thank you Alan

dbaccess $DATABASE@$MACHINE There is a very good manual on dbaccess at : http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v10/index.jsp Along with the rest of the fine manuals.

ooops, $MACHINE is actually $INSTANCE where instance is in the sqlhosts file and you can actually get from current machine to target machine that has that instance.
