Leon, We've recently performed the same upgrade on our system. We had three things that took a little work to correct. 1) The INFORMIXSERVER variable must be set for all users. (Not really a big deal, just took us time to find all of the places in our system where we needed to replace TBCONFIG with INFORMIXSERVER) 2) We had another problem with some of our legacy code... The programs were preparing a statement then opening without declaring the cursor. We had to declare each of these cursors and then open them. i.e.: OLD - prepare stmt from scratch open stmt NEW - prepare stmt from scratch declare stmt_curs cursor for stmt open stmt_curs This also worked pre upgrade..(Note the declared/prepared names) prepare stmt from scratch declare stmt_curs cursor for stmt open stmt 3) Cursor Name Mangling The mangling scheme forced us to change some of our cursor names. (i.e. this_curs1 and this_curs2 worked fine pre-upgrade however they were mangled into the same name post-upgrade) We had to make sure that cursor names were unique within the first few characters. (I think it was 6, but I'm not sure.) 4) If you are using a temp dbspace you will need to make sure that you don't have any cluster indexes being created for temp tables. (More legacy code...still can't figure out why those that came before chose to try this one...) Most of these issues are in the Release notes.... Otherwise, things went pretty smoothly. Good luck.
