Square Root in ISQL solution. (informix help line slipping)...

I got two solutions to my problem regarding computing the square root in Informix. 1. Rewrite the equation so that square root is not needed. (Squaring both sides of the equation) So simple. 2. There is a SQRT function in Informix. It is just not documented. What irks me is that we pay THOUSANDS of dollars for Informix ISQL support and when I call and ask then for help, they don't even know their own system. They told me that the square root option was NOT available (but that if I wanted to purchase 4GL I could calculate it there) Thank goodness for the Internet!! Bonnie
