Using DataDirect ODBC to connect to Informix Se 6.0

Hi Gurus, My organisation is using Informix Se 6.0 on an AIX host. Currently I used MS-VB4.0 to connect to the database using the Datadirect ODBC driver. I have no problems running an application which was created in VB 4.0. The problem is when I use an application which was developed in VB 3.0 to run on a VB 4.0 environment I get the ODBC error 3146. Any help would be appreciated. Another thing which I would like is about the speed and reliability of the DataDirect ODBC driver.
